I drive home from the hospital alone, with my CT scans on the seat beside me. The world begins to take on a new form. People in the other cars on the road become partners in this momentary experience—and whatever comes after it. Our tangible possessions, our imaginary constructs, our faulty connections with each other—we’ve created this fleeting world. And it is so very beautiful. I am filled with love, and so I drive on.
