I like when it feels like I imagine East Coast hot feels like and they are roasting coffee down the street so it smells like slightly burnt toast everywhere. And driving by the Rainbo bread place down along 880, mmmmmmmm. Also, this girl I know? Her building is back-to-back with the Entemann’s bakery! MMMMMMMMMMMMMICINGCINNAMONYGOODNESS! So many good smells in Oakland!

Thank you for pointing out its not just about the Lake. You have good taste in smells and I will pay close attention in future to you featured aromas.

There is nothing like a good city smell. I dont have any smell tales from Oakland, but in Dublin, Ireland (where I grew up) the smell of the Guiness factory consumes the whole city like a pungent yeast bomb just landed! Sometimes its not the prettiest but it is a characteristic of the city.

Does anyone have other city smells to share?
