On Saturday April 22nd, 2006, thousands did their part to make Oakland a better cleaner place to live by going out to Lake Merritt as volunteers. This earth day festivity got people of all ages together from around Oakland in an effort to pick-up trash around the lake, pull seasonal weeds and got down and dirty while landscaping and planting new flowers in the lake area parks.

This video is the fouth and final in a series that bring some of the highlights of this event to you. In this episode we interview Al, organizer of the Oakland Yellow Jackets bicycle club.

Do your part in keeping Lake Merritt of Oakland one of the country’s largest and most beautiful urban lakes. Don’t litter and volunteer!
