Pardee Home Winter Concert 2006

Joyce Whitelaw, a noted Oakland musical performer (who has an Organic City Featured Tour) and composer who has delighted local audiences in recent years with her topical, modern operas Il Giocatore and Casino (about golfing and gambling, respectively) and two works composed for the Chabot Space and Science Center, Saturn Symphony and Dragon Skies, will be performing songs about historical figures of Oakland, including an expanded version of her ode to George Pardee.

Joyce will be accompanied by soloists Mel Leroy and Lisa Pan.

Friday Evening, December 8, 2006
5:00-7:00pm Reception and Concert

This special event is hosted by the Friends of the Pardee Home Museum as a fundraiser for the house. Tickets are $60 each and can be reserved by calling the museum office at 510 444-2187.
Reservations must be made by December 1st.
