I never went to Fairy Tale Land and I don’t want to, either.

Think about it. Fairy Tale Land. Isn’t that a great, amazing thing?

The fairy tales–those stories of our childhood that somebody read to us when we were so small we could sit on their lap and fall asleep. The big white book with shiny pages and beautiful pictures of wonderful things; the stories about castles and princesses and princes in a land of magic. The wonderful, scary witch and the wicked step mother and all
the delicious dangers in the woods.

If there is a Fairy Tale Land, it must be filled with things I never see in ordinary life; things I used to dream about when I was young. The prince is there, of course, with his beautiful white horse. And that must be where happily ever after is.

I don’t want to go to Fairy Tale Land, but I am glad to know it’s right there in the middle of the park in case I ever really need it.
